The Panel established to audit NSW marine parks have given their recommendations to the Government after an exhaustive public consultation process. The Government has embarked on yet another round of public comments on the recommendations before they decide whether to act on them. The Panel has told the Government that there are still gaps in the system of marine parks in NSW. In my submission I reiterate the call for an immediate lifting of the regressive moratorium on marine parks as well as urgent protection for grey nurse shark critical habitat sites.

Some more ‘pushing things away’ is not acceptable. The Government HAS to make a move on this now. Lift the ridiculous moratorium and SAVE our Grey Nurse Sharks, they are worth millions in tourist dollars every year by the way.

Please do not waste more time and money in seeking further comments on the Panel’s recommendations about marine parks. They have already made it clear what needs to happen in order to protect our precious marine life.
I am asking you to what is right for the future of all the people of NSW, not just for special interest groups. The NSW government is for all the people; please act to ensure that our wonderful, incredible environment is protected and preserved for the future.

Please act on the recommendations given by the Panel established to audit NSW marine parks. The environment matters to the Australian public and they expect their elected government to reflect this on their decisions.
Please protect the environment!
Thank you,

i used to keep rats; they’re cool, smart and sociable. unfortunately, they also defecate in their own nests. now humans, when they havent been killing each other, have over the milennia been cool, smart and sociable. unfortunately their habit of defecating in their own nest has led to an irreversible systems overload which will kill them in about 2075. let’s not be dumber than we must about this thing.
